Bucket List Series # 4 – The Ultimate Icelandic Adventure 29th September to 6th October, 6 nights-7 days)

Wonderful World invites you to an adventure in Iceland where you get to experience the breathtaking natural beauty that the country has to offer as well as visiting some hidden gems in the Highlands. Early autumn is when this gorgeous country experiences a drop in the tourist footfall but the temperatures are still gorgeous albeit a little crisp, all the routes are open and the autumn colours steal your heart away. This trip combines it all:

The best sights- the hidden gems, adventure but still a nice dose of luxury.

We will take you around in a Mercedes Sprinter, which can take you to places of incredible rugged beauty in a safe and comfortable way. To reach places like Landmannalaugar and Þórsmörk (yes, we can’t pronounce them either!) you will need to use mountain roads that a normal coach will have difficulty with and you would feel all the bumps on the road. The modified sprinter can take you across big rivers and on challenging roads so you can explore all the wonderful places in the Icelandic Highlands. The sprinter will also be able to take you up on the Langjökull glacier so the group will always be private – that is you will not need to join a big group to go up to the glacier.

Wonderful World will take good care of you as you explore this magical island on the edge of the Arctic Circle.

Big highlight of this experience is that the Sprinter we travel in – so we get to go to remote areas that a normal coach would not be able to get to. (Please do read the itinerary for a list of all the places – too many to list down here!)

If we get really lucky – we may even catch a night of spotting the Northern Lights The season starts in September.
